At SABA-NJ, advocacy is at the heart of our mission. We are committed to championing the rights, representation, and interests of South Asian attorneys and the broader South Asian community throughout New Jersey. Our work goes beyond professional development—we stand as a voice for equity, opportunity, and justice. We actively engage in public discourse, support inclusive policy reform, and build meaningful partnerships with community organizations, law schools, and public institutions. Whether through mentorship, public education, or civic involvement, we strive to dismantle barriers that limit access to the legal system and hold back diverse talent. By advocating for fair treatment in the workplace, representation in leadership, and equal access to legal resources, SABA-NJ plays a vital role in shaping a more inclusive legal landscape. What We Advocate For

Diversity and Inclusion


We support South Asian participation at all levels of the legal profession. From students to judges, we promote representation, opportunity, and equity.

Equal Access to Justice


We help the South Asian community better navigate the legal system. Through outreach, education, and partnerships, we provide greater access to essential legal resources.

Representation in Public Service

SABA-NJ encourages South Asian attorneys to pursue roles in government, public service, and the judiciary. We advocate for leadership that reflects the diversity of New Jersey.

Combating Discrimination and Bias

We stand against hate, bias, and inequality. SABA-NJ speaks out, educates, and collaborates to fight discrimination and create a more just and respectful legal and social environment.

How We Take Action
